What is your role at Wiltshires?
Groundcare engineer
When did you start working at Wiltshires?
I started in 2003 as a land based apprentice engineer. I worked in the workshop until 2013 when I moved into parts and sales. I left for a few years and came back into the workshop as a full time engineer in 2020.
What do you enjoy about working at Wiltshires?
I enjoy the variety of work, the team I work with. The great thing about my job is I can be in the workshop or out on the road at customer premises.
What is your favourite part of your job?
The sense of achievement when I go to a job with a broken down machine and leave the customer with it working.
What do you like to do to unwind when not working?
I look after a local grassroots football pitch as well as playing football and golf. I enjoy spending time with my wife and young daughter watching her grow up.
What would you say to anyone looking at a career in the industry?
It is a good opportunity to learn many different skills. Not just about machinery and mechanics but about customers and how they use their machines. It is a great industry to grow your skills.
